Dover District Council is a partner in an innovative project – ASPIRE – which aims to help people improve their health, wellbeing and job prospects. ASPIRE is taking place in southern UK and northern France and we’re lucky to have one of the hubs based in our district in Aylesham where there is a wealth of free, fully supported workshops and activities taking place. These include gardening, cooking, wellbeing and exercise sessions, mentoring, accredited courses, NHS One You support and much more. Please see the attached leaflet and poster for more information. (NB Help with transport to get to Aylesham is available.)
ASPIRE is open to anyone over 18 living in east Kent who would like to boost their health and wellbeing and gain new skills and confidence to get into sustainable employment. The project will run until spring 2023 and we are trying to leave no stone unturned in our efforts to ensure that everyone who could benefit from taking part in this fantastic project has the opportunity to do so.
