UPDATE FROM GREENTECH
As with the previous update, our current planning for the solar farm construction is that work relating to the DNO (Electricity company) substation will be undertaken first.
Residents may therefore notice more activity around where the operational access is to be located.
Track formation for the operational access is due to commence on 20 October. This will not require any road closures but there will be tipper lorries delivering stone for the track.
Please be assured that this will not be the delivery entrance for the solar farm construction. It will relate specifically to the DNO substation requirement, and is being undertaken by the contractor undertaking DNO works.
In the first week of November the bridge across the railway line will need to be closed for 2 days for the final aspect of the DNO cabling works.
The formation of the temporary construction access (on The Lane near Deal Road) for the main solar farm work will follow on from this, scheduled currently for 19th November.
Installation of the perimeter deer fencing may be undertaken in the intervening week or once the temporary access or compound have been formed
This ensures that the work will be undertaken sequentially and with the least disruption.
