Join us at the Romney Warren for a captivating afternoon of pond dipping with Rangers Lewis and James where you’ll uncover the hidden wonders beneath the water’s surface. With a knowledgeable ranger by your side, you’ll identify and learn about the fascinating creatures that inhabit the ponds. This hands-on experience promises to be both informative and thrilling.
Friday 30th May, 10 – 11:30am & 1 – 2:30pm, Lively Lizards at Fort Burgoyne.
Join Rangers Jasmine and Matt at Fort Burgoyne as we delve into the hidden corners of the fort, seeking out the elusive slow worms and common lizards. This gentle walk offers a rare opportunity to get up close with these fascinating creatures. But that’s not all – our expert rangers will reveal the fort’s other intriguing wildlife as we explore. Saturday 31st May, 2 – 3:30pm, Samphire Hoe Orchid Adventure.
Join us at the picturesque Samphire Hoe for a family walk to discover the amazing orchids that grow at there. Discover the beauty and fascinating life cycles of these incredible flowers as our knowledgeable Ranger walks you round.
Everyone will get a chance to play the orchid pollination game.
Then make your own paper orchid to take home with you as a memento of the day!
